A Periwinkle Projects initiative, Our Hobart brings together grade 9/10 students from Hutchins School and Rosetta High School to create video works about Hobart using Motorola V3x phones generously supplied by Telstra.My role on this project will be as one of 3 artists who will mentor the students to achieve strong creative and expressive outcomes.
I have had an increasing interest in the use of mobile phones in art over the last two years and this is the first Tasmanian project I'm aware of that will use mobile phone technology.
